Our Practices
Our goal is to use the Bible as our only guide
We believe the Bible alone tells us all we need to know
and what we must do and believe
to be pleasing to God.
We are called a church of Christ because that
is what the apostle Paul called the churches in
the first century. Rom. 16:16
We meet on the first day of the week (Sunday)
because that is the day Christians met
in the first century. Acts 20:7
During our assembly we worship as the Bible instructs:
We will pray – 1st Timothy 2:8
We will have congregational, non-instrumental singing,
praising God and admonishing one another from the heart - Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16
praising God and admonishing one another from the heart - Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16
We will take a collection from our members
for the support of our work here and around
the world (visitors need not give). 1st Corinthians 16:1-2
We will partake of the Lord’s Supper. 1 Cor. 11:23-25
We will also set aside a portion of the service
for a lesson taken from the Bible. Acts 20:7
